Fan into Flame Gifts and Pledges Exceed Goal!

Before you read any further, right where you sit, find a hard surface within arm’s length and using two or three fingers on either hand, give yourself a drum roll. Why? Because this announcement deserves one!

I am pleased to announce that as of the date of this writing (June 23), gifts and pledges to the Fan into Flame campaign from Mid-South District congregations and individuals total $1,506,000! What a testimony to God’s goodness and gracious provision among His people in Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee.

 When the Fan into Flame Steering Committee established our district’s campaign goal of $1.1 million, there were cautious stares around the table and questioning looks that seemed to ask, “Can we do this?” Not only has God blessed us in meeting that aggressive goal, but by His hand, we will exceed it by probably 25% or more as we receive additional congregational commitments in the months to come!

I would personally like to thank all the members of the steering committee and the Circuit Coordinators, as well as Peggy Krohn and President Lampe in the District Office for their many hours of commitment given so willingly to this effort.

In future issues of the Encourager, we will be sharing with you what congregations and the district are doing with their shares of net funds given to the campaign. If your congregation has not yet decided to participate or has not set a goal for participation, it is not too late.
