Sharon Fryman Child Ministry (Western Tennessee Area) Sharon graduated from Concordia University, River Forest, IL in 1991. She has taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, and currently teaching 4-year-old preschool. Sharon has served on Immanuel Lutheran Church school board and on the Board of Parish Education for four years. Her special areas of ministry are children’s messages and chapel services. |
Early Childhood Ministry

Jeanette Kolterman Early Childhood Ministry (Western Arkansas) Jeanette is a graduate of Concordia University of Seward, NE. She began teaching in 1963 in Michigan, moved to Illinois and currently at Fort Smith, AR. She has been a director of First Lutheran’s early childhood program, approximately 80 preschoolers, day care program for 3 and 4 yr. olds, and after school program for all school children. Jeanette serves as one of the four Early Childhood Consultants in the Mid-South District.

Karlene Maples Early Childhood Ministry (East Arkansas & West Tennessee)) Karlene Maples is the Director of the Preschool at Immanuel Lutheran School, Memphis, TN. She has been a director at Immanuel for 14 years, and is charge of the preschool and summer program for ages 3-12 years, and the before school and after school program. Karlene and her husband, Arthur, have lived in Memphis for 17 years, and have one son. Karlene also serves as one of the four Early Childhood Consultants. |

Family Life Ministry

Pat Funk Family Life Ministry (Arkansas) Pat graduated from University of Arkansas, Little Rock, AR and is retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Little Rock, AR. She and her husband are active (and founding members) of Christ Lutheran Church in Little Rock. She has served as a Sunday school teacher, altar guild, trained Stephen Ministry leader, LWML, assimilation, senior group, comforters for missions. She is presently enrolled in the Family Life Ministry masters program at Concordia University in Seward, NE. |
Singles Ministry

Diane Reimold Singles Ministry Diane is an Office Manager for a manufacturer’s rep firm. She has been involved with the District Singles Ministry since 1989 and singles coordinator for nine years. She has been a part of the planning and organizing of all District Singles Retreats and writes the quarterly District Singles Newsletter. Diane has served on the Fellowship Board, Congregational Secretary, chairman of our AAL Branch, and corresponding secretary of the LWML West Tennessee Zone. |
Visioning & Planning

Allen Helms Visioning & Planning (Western & Central Arkansas) A 1973 graduate of Concordia, Seward (Bachelor’s Degree in Education) with teaching experience at elementary schools in Illinois and Tennessee. A 1983 graduate of the University of Memphis School of Business (Master’s Degree in Accounting) and a CPA with twenty-five years of progressive leadership experience in a broad spectrum of business applications, including Finance, Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems. Proven interpersonal and project management abilities with strengths in planning, implementation, systems development, facilitation and administration. Professional, articulate and results-oriented. Possesses well-developed written and oral communication skills. District service includes a 3-year term on the Strategic Long-Range Planning Committee and three terms on the Board of Directors. Congregational service includes Bookkeeper, Treasurer, Elders, Stewardship, Education, Long-Range Planning and an Adult Bible Class leader. |
